I’ve gotten a lot of positive, and some negative, comments about the changes at spanking.com.
Unfortunately I deleted them before realizing I should probably post them here and let you see what other people have to say.
The general idea was – a couple of people miss the personals site that was here before, many more like the new site better.
For those that like the new site: Thanks! We like you too. Bookmark the site, give us more feedback, tell us what you want to be reviewed, write some reviews yourself!
For those that miss the old site: I’m sorry, but I still like you too.
Maybe you’re wondering why I changed spanking.com.
There is no short answer, but can be summed up in 2 words – Money, Time.
The personals site had very little membership base, cost a hell of a lot to run, had a lot of competition from some big players (bondage.com, etc), required customer service staff, billing, spam filtering, and so much more.
The new site is a labor of love. Amasake and I love spanking, love watching the movies, enjoy writing about them (I guess I have an exhibitionist side, probably why I use my real name)

I wanted to contact some members on the personals really badly. I had begun to talk with them, and wish I could continue…it took years to find the match I felt I had. I wish there was a way to do it again. Any way to get them?

I, for one, am VERY disappointed that the personals site is gone. It was a great source for like-minded playmates…and must have been a good money-maker, as well. Does it still exist, under a different URL?

I do miss the personals site, because I met my current boyfriend there years ago. It was a great site, the classiest out there for genuine spankos seeking partners. Alt is seedy, SIN is small.
Spanking.com *was* perfect. Everyone has a spanking review site, not to mention porn. We don’t really need to see more reviews about porn or spanking. People will buy it without the review.
Plus, there are far classier review blogs that are already well established.

Again, I truly enjoyed your site form the begining when much on it was free.
The personals were great! I met a lot of folks that were just aveage and no different than others that were enjoying themselves with toys or lotions…..
You made me to like the way I am.

I understand why you did what you did, but I too miss the personals site.
The fact it, Spanking.com personals were unique in the inudustry, while there are any number of sites devoted to clips and movies. Sure, there is only one other site I know of doing real review work, but still.. two is not unique.

Help!!! I dail the 1-800-444-SPANK and I get “Hello you want to talk hot ladies” I want to chat to men. I used to dail all the time and I get to chat so I need someone tell me why I am getting the msg to talk to hot ladies for .69 or one on one.
