Every year (almost) Larry and I attend the Grand Poobah of spanking parties, The Shadow Lane Back to School Party. I don’t mean to make fun of the SL people. They work hard and have for quite a while and it shows. They know how to throw the spanking party. I mean, seriously, they know how it’s done! It’s a weekend long event. Some people come in on Thursday and stay through Monday. Now THAT’S a long spanking weekend. And, people spank and spank and spank till they can’t spank no more! Guess I forgot how I’d be if I wasn’t a spanking professional and didn’t get to do it all the time, whenever I want. Hehehe! Weeeee! I’m such a BRAT!
I’ve been to most of these parties over the years. My hubby first laid eyes on me at one. He didn’t actually TALK to me that time. Noooo! He just sat at the bar and ogled me with his eyes. Huh… Men…
When we first began our video production business, we had a blast at the Vendors’ Fair. That’s the Friday night meet-and-greet, of sorts. It’s a chance for production companies to sell a few DVDs and introduce about three hundred avid spankers to their movies. Crafts people (paddles, floggers….implement makers of all sorts) and other creative sorts display and sell their wares. It’s a nice, exciting introduction to the party. I always try to imagine what it would be like to be a complete newbie and walk in and see all these people mixing, mingling and spanking. Then see all these implements spread out on tables everywhere and all these “spanking celebrities,” (yeah, I guess that’s what I am and I’m not the only one there) right there in person for you to approach and talk to just like anybody else. Anyway, like most new production companies, we’d set up table displays that were fun and eye catching. We’d bring some of our girls from our videos with us. We’d put on spanking shows to draw people over. Imagine three or four women all spanking each other and having a party of it, too. Let’s just say it worked. We drew crowds, sometimes!
We don’t do a vendor table anymore. Larry and I just circulate and our presence there is enough to remind everyone that we’re still at it, plus we have more free time to get into the real mix of things and play with people we’ve only just met. Yes, we make little appointments with people we find, uh, interesting for one reason or another, and we slip off to our room to spank and engage in various spanking related activities. It’s kind of like swinging, but only with spanking instead.
On Saturday night, there’s a more formal event. Everyone dresses up and there’s a banquet and then everyone meets up and slips off to rooms, or private parties in various suites…or both. It’s a long night. There’s plenty of time for lots of spanking! In between Friday and Saturday night, people meet up and spank. See? I told you there’s non-stop spanking going on! On the two, or so, hotel floors that are reserved for our group, spanking can be heard ringing out from behind almost every door. Smack, smack, smack! “Ah! Ah! I’ve got most of my sites updates done early and come Friday morning it’s pack up the car time and we’re off…to Vegas. Vegas baby! What happens there stays there…but a lot of people with red butts under their clothes will be heading home at the end of the weekend.

Elite Pain Model – Avril Gavach

The incident of a Mood-Pictures studio being raided by Hungarian authorities set off spanking message-board members on a debate about spanking ethics. Some of the questions that have arisen – “Do the people at Mood-Pictures go to far in their shoots?”, “Do the models really know what they were getting into?”, “Should ‘”vanilla”‘ models be used in bdsm/spanking movies?”
Obviously, the debate will go on unsettled, as it seems like everything boils down to personal preference. However, the only questions that do seem to have some chance of having their answers verified are the questions of the legality of the productions – a question that goes beyond the scope of this post.
None the less I’d like you to keep these questions in mind as you view Elite Pain Interviews. I think these kinds of conversations are important to the “alt” lifestyles community as they attempt to bring things into finer definition, as well as shed light on the gray area that is personal preference and even social norms.
Here’s a break-down.
Avril, twenty-something Eastern European female is interviewed by director Maximilian Lomp. She sits on a chair in a non discript room that nearly resembles a prison cell.
Max casually asks her if she knows what the shoots are like and Avril answers that she knows there’s corporal punishment involved featuring different instruments. Max reminds Avril that not only will she be physically punished, but psychically as well as there will be a good deal of humiliation involved in the production.
Max then goes on to ask Avril about her motivation for auditioning for a punishment video. Avril states that her boyfriend “forced” her to come – as he wanted to see how she would be in one of these kinds of films. Max then makes an interesting comment that the boyfriend isn’t courageous enough to try it for himself.
I liked that comment, because, vanilla or not, it takes a lot of courage to subject yourself to what will certainly amount to brutal pain.
We see Avril answering the questions with a smile on her face, but as the interview proceeds, you can see her brow start to furrow a bit and start to glisten. Her nerves are showing. Max describes that when he whips her naked tits, that it will hurt like hell. She says she will do it for her boyfriend.
Avril’s relationship with her boyfriend isn’t discussed in detail, but we can safely assume that they have some sort of domestic discipline thing going on, or at the very least, her boyfriend is very controlling.
Anyway, the quick details about the punishment tests – used to determine her pain threshold are some nipple clamps, labia clamps, multi-tailed whip on her back and tits, single whip on her back, flapper used on her feet, and cane across her palm.
The flapper across the feet is used as Avril’s final test. If she can withstand a full-forced swat across the bottom of her feet without moving, then she gets the job.
The video is sort of clinical. I think people are probably drawn to that aspect. It makes everything seem controlled, professional, masterful. It also dehumanizes Avril in a way – turning her into an object for study.
Admittedly, I haven’t watched any other Elite Pain videos. I’m not really drawn to that tone. I tend to go for bdsm that has more of a nurturing vibe. However, I understand that some might find this kind of punishment to be erotic, and nurturing if the punishment is inflicted in order to build character.

Spanking Postions
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009As a producer I get a lot of mail requesting various positions and while most viewers seem to feel that bottoms are great any way you look at them, they do seem to have their favorites. I get a lot of requests for the diaper position and we rarely show it as it seems to be a hard one to spank from and not so traditional. Since I also do an erotic diaper site I have tried to incorporate this position more on there. I have nothing against it and I will say as a sub it feels wonderful, but as a domme I just don’t have the coordination to give a girl a good, long hard spanking with her legs up in the air. This is something I will investigate further and I will say Leia-Ann Woods is very diaper-position friendly! I hope she’s not cross at me for saying that. Oh yes, I forgot – I’m the domme- on your back, girl - toes pointed.

Do you enjoy being in Spanking films?
Tuesday, July 21st, 2009Ok folks, another answer to a question I get asked over and over: What is it like to be in a spanking film? Well, as you can see by the number I have taken part in (can anyone help me with that? Exact number unknown!!), they are VERY enjoyable. But it is more than that in the case of some shoots. Some really are quite special and I will never forget them. There are two shoots that spring to my mind which have a special place in my memory palace (phrase stolen from Thomas Harris if there are any fellow Lecter fans out there).
The first one is, well, my first ever shoot, which was with a company who sadly no longer produce films; Miss Marchmont. On this shoot I was able to re-enact one of my favourite fantasies – the used and abused Edwardian maid who is treated badly by her owner and punished at a moment’s notice. This was an incredible film as I was filming it with my partner at the time as the top, so the chemistry between us really shone out. Not only that, he really knew what to do in order to get the best reactions out of me. I rarely enjoy my performances, but this one I do love.
The second film shoot is one with www.northernspanking.com (Northern Spanking) and the film made was a feature length film (nearly 3 hours long in total, but split into scenes, obviously) called Wheatley Manor, featuring Amelia Jane Rutherford, Niki Flynn, Amy Hunter and myself. Those of you who attended Shadow Lane in Vegas this February just gone may have noticed their stall featuring it. This film is special for so many reasons. I was able to maintain the same character for the whole day (and night – we finished late, though we were all so into it we did not notice) and therefore allow her to develop within me. This is unusual. In many shoots we spanking models are required to chop and change from, say, submissive maid to bratty schoolgirl. I loved it as it gave me a chance to really pay attention to the acting, rather than just the action alone. Also, on the subject of acting we shot this film out of order, which is unusual for spanking films but happens regularly in professional shoots. Again this helped me hone the acting skills and really pay attention to where we were in the story. Finally, the story was special for me as it was highly psychological. I have brought my friends for a “break” to Wheatley Manor. Upon arrival we are forced to strip naked for an inspection before changing into a uniform of knickers and vest, together with a ribbon tied around our neck like a collar. If a ribbon matching our colour is found on a door then we must enter. Then we are subjected to punishments, some of which are the type of punishments we would fear, such as the cane or bastinado. However, there is a twist. Through our suffering we girls find an inner power and get our revenge on the Hosts…

Judicial punishments – the ultimate endorphin rush part 2
