So Sayuri blew the whistle — ended this interview early. The good news is, the resulting movie is a mesmerizing account of one girl’s doomed struggle to push past her physical comfort zones. The mind may be strong, but oh, the flesh is so weak…

Weak, but lovely. When Sayuri finally removes her clothes, we’re treated to a well-proportioned, graceful body, with full breasts and long legs (unfortunately cut a little short by the ankle socks she keeps on throughout her interview). Loved her lacy, low-cut bra, which provides some serious nip-slip as she works up the courage to strip down further.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. This interview begins, as all of them do, with the subject poised before Maxmillian Lomp, answering a litany of questions:

How old are you? (23)
What’s the deal with your name? (she’s half japanese)
Why are you here? (she needs money to settle debts or she’ll lose her house)

Lomp scolds her for being bad with finances, and then warns her that she will soon be subjected to “intense pain” during her audition. She tries to seem nonchalant but her eyes betray her — she’s obviously freaked out. She admits she’s never been filmed naked, and she will not be telling anyone about her time here.

Lomp points out her defeated body language, “Are you ashamed?” As she answers in the affirmative, Lomp makes sure she maintains eye contact, and continues his interview:

What is the color of that sweater you’re wearing? (crimson)
Remove it. Now the bra.

Sayuri doesn’t want to take her bra off; she’s sluggish, reluctant… Lomp barks at her to hurry as he quizzes her on her sex life:

How long has it been since you’ve had sex? (very long time)
Have you had sex with a woman? (not yet)
Do you enjoy sex? (very much)
Drop those trousers.

Sayuri obeys, but it’s clear from the look on her face that she’s rethinking this whole fetish porn thing. As if falling back on a mantra, she repeats how badly she needs money, and pulls off her pants. Standing before him in her black lacy bra & panties, she says she’s scared but nonetheless sighs, steels herself, and snaps off her bra. Her arms reflexively shoot up, covering her nakedness.

Lomp has to threaten her with a crop before she strips off her panties, and finally there’s Sayuri looking scared but positively luscious. She’s obedient, too — in a wink, she’s lying back in a chair, legs spread wide, taking her first crop-snaps to her shaved pussy: a few light taps and then WHAM! She cries out terribly, as the camera zooms in for a lingering close-up between her legs.

Again, Lomp brings down the crop — this time, a hard shot to that tender area of the upper thigh, right where the leg joins the body. Ouch! Sayuri breathes heavily, showing obvious distress. Get a load of those welts, too.

Lomp brings out our old friend the office clip. “What are these used for you?” he asks her. Paper, money and, oh yes, the skin of our girl’s “nice muscular legs.” She cries out as he attaches the clip, can’t help but remove it herself rather than let Lomp whip it off.

He clips her pussy lips. Clips her nipple. Sayuri carries on — sighing, crying and moaning –but is able to withstand a decent crotch-whipping only so far. Soon, she exclaims she cannot bear it, and slams her legs together, brings her hands up to protect herself further. Breaks the rules, in other words.

Lomp’s punishment: stand up for two strokes to an extended hand, one with a many-tailed whip, and again with a riding crop. She sighs & rolls her eyes in agony & fear. After this, he attaches another nipple clip and then smacks them both with a whip until she freaks out: I can’t do this!!

So he shackles her arms above her head, shows her various implements he will be using on her. He starts with a rough smack across her bottom with a leather strap. She cries out, and then you can actually see the pain register on her face a second or two after the strike. At this point, she tells him she can no longer withstand the audition; she’s sorry, they must stop for good now.

Lomp lets her down, asks her to sit and relax. He wants to know how she feels:

Did everything hurt very much? (yes)
Did the pussy or boobs hurt too much? (all of them)
What parts were too difficult to bear? (all of it)

She apologizes again, says she cannot make a film, cannot bear the pain. Lomp seems to understand. He doesn’t pressure her, and wishes her all the best.

At least she tried, right?
