Arnold is very annoyed when he can’t find a clean ironed shirt.
He also notices that Justine is wearing a skirt that is badly crushed. It is then that he realises that she has no pride in her appearance or his for that matter.
A punishment is going to be given that will make her realise that being lazy and slovenly is going to be dealt with severely.
Fetching the cane, he orders her to bend over with her hands flat on the coffee table.
